Kimberley Bushtucker Liqueurs (KBL) is Australia's first licensed distillery that specialises in making liqueurs from bushtucker. (Producers License number 6180149766)
Founded and licensed in 2014, the idea for Kimberley Bushtucker Liqueurs (KBL) came about over a few home brews that had the bite of a crocodile and the taste of a potential future. Realising that the Kimberley held a broad variety of bush tucker fruits, a massive supply of natural spring water and with an urge to have a go, the wheels were set in motion.
KBL is proudly boutique and sources only local, wild harvest produce from the Kimberley Indigenous regions. Called 'wild harvest', the fruits, flowers, nuts and berries are hand sourced and picked while still cool with a heavy Kimberley dew. This is when the natural flavours are at their peak.
Once picked and chilled, the wild harvest is processed, washed, barrelled and left to steep in neutral spirit over time to draw out the natural flavours and pectin. The distillation of neutral spirit takes place in-house in our copper tower . still.
To clean and further enhance the liqueur, we triple filter to 1 micron. Achieving our desired alcoholic strength we use the nectar from the gods - natural, sweet spring water to complete our blend.
Our liqueurs each have their own natural flavours, interesting notes with a hint of smoky bush aromas on the nose. Matured over time to guarantee a smooth finish, KBL produces natural products with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and made by hand to ensure your unique tasting experience.
